A White Lions Breeding Project has been started at Mama Tau, an eco safari lodge in Limpopo, South Africa. The first cub to be born and bred from this project was born on 27 May 2005.
Mama Tau
Mama Tau means 'Mother of Lions' in Northern Sotho. Legend says that the white fur of the Lion represented the good that is found in all creatures.
