Dinners in the bush, riverside weddings and Big Five game safaris, Popallin does it all in style. On holiday or conference, guests can horseback ride, play golf, cruise and quad bike to their hearts content on a South Africa holiday. There is also a plunge and outdoor swimming pool available.
Conferences and Functions
The lodge has conference facilities for up to 40 delegates; weddings are also popular here as well as year end parties, golf days, Riverboat functions and incentives for a South Africa holiday. There is a Venda Cultural Village on-site which is also fabulous for outdoor dinners with Venda tribal dancing. Special menus can be arranged. Popallin offers a flat rate for conferences which include mineral waters, juice, mints, tea and coffee, sandwiches and a light lunch. Standard conference equipment includes an overhead projector and screen, sound system and DSTV other equipment is available on request.
Dining Facilities
Popallin Safari Ranch can accommodate 50 guests in the dining facilities; there are also 2 bars and a lapa (open air enclosure for dining). Exclusive dinner party venues include the Koppie, the Venda Village or special sites in the bush. Dinner for 20 guests can be accommodated in The Koppie, with more people possible if sundowners and snacks are being served. The Venda Village can accommodate approximately 40 guests for drinks and snacks.
Game and Wildlife Viewing
In the far northern reaches of South Africa, Popallin Safari Ranch offers a wide variety of safari activities. The 10 000 hectare ranch has Elephant, Lion, Buffalo, Rhino, Leopard and other wildlife, and the game are free to roam. The Kruger National Park Pafuri gate is 60km (37 miles) away and Popallin offers full day game viewing experiences into the park, also of interest is the white Lion and Buffalo breeding project on the ranch.
Guests can safely undertake a number of exciting guided walking safaris and horseback rides as well as cruises on the Nwanedzi River and bird watching.
Limpopo River
This is an excellent place to enjoy outdoor meals, walks, quad biking and 4x4 trails and enjoy the views of this mighty river which forms the border with Zimbabwe.
Golf
On site is a 4 000 metre 3, 4 and 5 Par golf course, there are 9 holes and 18 tees, it is completely fenced off and safe from big game.
