Garonga Safari Camp is inspired by the ochre-red spires of nature's termite mounds, thick earthen columns, generous cushions on low beds and billowing white fabrics that epitomise this oasis in the middle of the South African bush.
Each of the 6 en-suite 55 square metre rooms nestle into ebony trees on the banks of a water course and command beautiful views. Indulgences include hammocks on the wooden decks, indoor and outdoor showers and romantically draped beds.
Unparalled luxury accommodation in exceptional surroundings makes the Hambleden Suite a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Rich Balinese influences as well as the romance of old-colonial Africa create a strikingly elegant, warm and tactile atmosphere.
Total privacy and exclusivity are the key attributes. Wherever possible, guests will be provided with their own game vehicle. A private pool and a deck that affords superb views provide the finishing touches to this remarkable bush suite.
The bathroom appointments include a beautiful hand-beaten copper bath, matching “his” and “hers” basins and framed, hand-painted bevelled mirrors. The enchantment of the outdoor shower area is enhanced by gently curved sienna walls, and the detailed pebble-work surrounding orchids set in hand-painted pots.

Hambleden Suite is has been extended to offer an additional two suites, linked by pathways, namely the Buckingham and Chiltern Suites. The Buckingham suite can now be booked separately or can be combined to create a private lodge that is ideal for families or friends to hire out for exclusive use.
