From Johannesburg / Pretoria
From Johannesburg, take the N1 highway towards Pretoria. Continue along this highway for about 300km (186 miles) to Polokwane (formerly Pietersburg). At the entrance of Polokwane turn left. Then turn left at the second set of traffic lights into Nelson Mandela Drive.
Follow this road until you reach the seventh set of traffic lights. Turn right at the sign indicating the R521 Dendron. At the next set of traffic lights, turn left onto the R521 towards Dendron. Continue long this road for about 140km (87 miles) to Alldays.
Once in Alldays, turn right at the stop sign and proceed towards Pontdrif. After about 46km (29 miles), turn right onto the R572 towards Mapungubwe and Musina. Mopane Bush Lodge is situated 29km (18 miles) along the R572 on the right hand side just past the cell phone tower.
Turn right onto the gravel road and open the gate by pushing the button on the pole under the lights. Follow the signs to Mopane Bush Lodge. The gravel road is about 3km (2 miles) long and the total distance from Johannesburg to Mopane Bush Lodge is about 540km (336 miles).
