At Monate Game Lodge, guests on safari in Limpopo, South Africa can venture out on early morning and late afternoon game drives with professional guides. There are also walks and many bird watching opportunities, caves and rock paintings to see.
The reserve 1839 hectare private reserve has Leopard, Cheetah, Buffalo, Rhino, Hippopotamus, Brown Hyena, Crocodile, Caracal and Jackal as well as a large variety of antelope such as Giraffe, Eland, Oryx, Waterbuck, Kudu, Bushbuck and many more.
Horse back safaris at Monate Game Lodge provide a different perspective on game viewing through the varying landscapes; its an exciting activity for beginners through to experienced riders on horses that are quite accustomed to the game.
Monate Game Lodge has also been chosen to participate in a Cheetah rehabilitation project, a unique and special highlight for guests as they witness the progress. Also there is the Brown Hyena project for research and study purposes.
