Kgoro Lodge is situated close to the majestic Drakensberg Mountains, west of the world famous Kruger National Park in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. Set on 700 hectares of pristine Lowveld Acacia bush and open savannah grasslands in the North eastern Lowveld of South Africa, this Limpopo safari lodge offers the ideal wildlife experience in the heart of the Limpopo Province.
Bordering the Makalali Conservancy, the Kgoro Reserve is home to an abundance of wildlife, including Giraffe, Zebra, Kudu, Leopard, Cheetah, Red Hartebeest, Nyala, Wildebeest, Aardvark, African Wild Cat, Civet, Black-backed Jackal, Waterbuck, Mountain Reed Buck, Duiker and Bushbuck.

By Air
There are daily scheduled flights from O.R Tambo International Airport (formally Johannesburg International Airport) to Hoedspruit or Phalaborwa Airports, plus daily non-stop return flights from Mpumalanga and Cape Town International Airports. Alternatively, there are daily return flights from O.R Tambo Airport to Hoedspruit with a land transfer (under an hour) to the Lodge.
Charter Flights
Flights can be chartered directly to the Makalali Airstrip from Mpumalanga and Johannesburg Airports. Makalali Reserve has a gravel airstrip on the property. Charter flights into the Makalali Reserve can be arranged by the lodge and clients are collected from the Makalali gravel airstrip at no additional charge and there are no landing fees.

Kgoro is approximately a 4 and a half hour drive from Johannesburg, one hour from Hoedspruit and Phalaborwa, 2 hours from Sabi Sands and 2 and a half hours from Nelspruit.
Malaria Info
Kgoro Lodge is located in a malaria-area. All suites are fitted with mosquito nets and guests are supplied with insect repellent. Due to the high terrain, mosquito infestation is minimal; however, precautions should be taken.
