Jembisa is ideal for family safari accommodation. Children are well taken care of and kept busy, adults have sole use of the lodge and luxury en-suite rooms. Lodge staff see to everything while guests relax and enjoy the game drives and activities.
This safari lodge offers superb Limpopo accommodation in 5 en-suite bedrooms and a children’s bunk room. Jembisa has for the last 10 years been a family home and the elegant interiors and personal furnishings remain. There is a well appointed TV room, and satellite linked email / internet connection available if needed for limited use.
The spacious bedrooms are beautifully furnished with romantic four poster beds and fabrics, 3 of the rooms have balconies. All the en-suite bathrooms contain both a bath and a shower and have under-floor heating in winter. Jembisa can normally accommodate 14 people, with extra cots and beds supplied on request.
On this game reserve in Limpopo there are also self-catering cottages along the Palala River. The cottages offer affordable accommodation in attractive and comfortable surroundings for peace and tranquillity in the bush. Firewood is available to purchase in bundles as part of a work creation project.
The cottages are private, fully equipped and run on a separate basis to the lodge. They have their own facilities and visitors can self-drive or walk on the reserve. Access to guided safari game drives and walks is strictly subject to availability only, as the lodge has priority.
River Cottage
For 2 people, this cottage has a fixed double bed, a bathroom with bath and shower, lounge, fireplace and fully equipped kitchen.
Podica Chalets
There are 3 en-suite chalets which share an open plan living area that contains a kitchenette, table and beds. Each chalet has one room with a separate bathroom (bath and outside shower) and a barbeque area. Podica 1 sleeps 2 people in a double bed. Podica 2 sleeps 4 in a double bed and twin beds. Podica 3 sleeps 3 or 4 in a double bed and sofa bed – for 1 or 2 children.
Kingfisher Cottage
This cottage has 3 bathrooms and sleeps 10 people in 2 double rooms and 3 twin rooms. There is a fireplace in the lounge, dining table, barbeque and plunge pool.
